URI-II Hydroelectric Project

Encardio-rite instrumented Uri 240 MW capacity hydroelectric project. It is a run-of-the-river type dam. The project comprises a barrage, cut and cover, de-silting basin, open channel, 10.65 km long headrace tunnel, 2 pressure shafts, an underground powerhouse and a 2.06 km long tail race tunnel.

Encardio-rite provided turnkey services for the project. The scope of work included supply of geotechnical sensors as well as  installation and monitoring services by our specialized engineers. The instrumentation used included piezometers, water level recorder, seepage measurement, load cells, borehole extensometer (mechanical as well as electronic; single and 3 points), temperature meter and portable readout units
