Masdar City

Masdar City is known as the Zero Carbon, Zero Waste City of the future. This city is a planned city project in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Its core is being built by a subsidiary of the Mubadala Development Company. The city is being constructed 17kms south – east of the city of Abu Dhabi, walls of which are made of terracotta with arabesque patterns. From a distance, the city looks like a cube. A 45-meter high wind tower modeled on traditional Arab designs pulls air from above and pushes a cooling breeze through Masdar’s streets.
