The project consists of a 55.5 m high concrete gravity dam, a 7.70 km long hydel channel, two head regulators, and two powerhouses. The design discharge capacity of the dam is 21500 cumsec. The total output capacity of the project is 206 MW.
Encardio-rite was awarded the sub-contract for supply as well as installation of safety monitoring instrumentation for the project. The instrumentation included:
- Piezometer
- Uplift pressure cells
- Total pressure cells
- Strain meter – rosette with no stress strain meter
- Temperature meter
- Joint meter - triaxial
- Joint meter - uniaxial
- Plumbline – normal and inverted
- Portable readout units
