Varahi Hydro Electric Project

The Varahi Hydro Electric Project, situated on the Varahi River near Hosangadi in Karnataka’s Udupi district, is a pioneering run-off river project designed to generate electricity sustainably. Notably, it features Karnataka’s first underground powerhouse with an impressive installed capacity of 460 MW, divided into four units of 115 MW each. Encardio Rite was entrusted with the sub-contract to supply and install essential safety monitoring instrumentation, supporting structural stability and operational safety throughout the project.
