Tuas Water Reclamation Plant (TWRP)

The Tuas Water Reclamation Plant (TWRP) is part of Singapore’s Deep Tunnel Sewerage System (DTSS) Phase II, a massive infrastructure project developed by PUB to ensure long-term water sustainability. Encardio Rite provided instrumentation and monitoring for TWRP, with 200 piezometers and 50 arc weldable strain gauges installed to ensure the safety and efficiency of water reclamation processes. This advanced monitoring system is crucial in managing used water from industries, homes, and businesses, contributing to Singapore’s sustainable water infrastructure.

Tuas Water Reclamation Plant (TWRP)

The Deep Tunnel Sewerage System (DTSS) Phase II extends the tunnel system to the west of Singapore through a 30 km long south tunnel, 70 km of link sewers, the Tuas WRP, and a 12 km deep-sea outfall. The DTSS is a massive integrated project being developed by the Public Utilities Board (PUB) in Singapore to meet the island country’s long-term clean water needs through the collection, treatment, reclamation, and disposal of used water from industries, homes, and businesses.

Our regional marketing associate carried out instrumentation and monitoring works for the Tuas water reclamation plant. Almost 200 of our piezometers and 50 arc weldable strain gages were used in the project. All sensors (100%) are operating satisfactorily today.
