Tarali Dam

Tarali Dam, a concrete gravity dam in Maharashtra’s Satara district, spans 1096 m with a maximum height of 73.41 m, serving irrigation needs. Encardio Rite provided supply and installation of safety monitoring instrumentation including stress meters, temperature gauges, water level systems, plumbline, portable readout units, strong motion accelerographs, and a pan evaporimeter. These instruments deliver critical data to monitor dam safety and support effective water resource management.

Tarali Dam

Tarali dam is situated in the Satara district of Maharashtra State across the river Tarali, a tributary of the river Krishna, located near the village Dangistewadi in Taluka Patan. The purpose of this project is to utilize the Tarali River water for irrigation.

The project comprises of a Concrete gravity dam of length 1096 m and maximum height 73.41 m with 5 numbers of radial gates of size 12 m x 5 m. Gross storage capacity of the dam is 165.70 Mm³, and live storage is 165.462 Mm³. 

Encardio-rite was awarded the sub-contract for the supply as well as the installation of safety monitoring instrumentation for the project. The instrumentation included:
