Sri Komaram Bheem Project

The Sri Komaram Bheem Project, located on the Peddawagu River in Telangana, is a medium irrigation dam supporting 45,500 acres across 69 villages. With a 1012 m long earthen dam and a reservoir capacity of 10.393 tmcft, the project ensures efficient water distribution. Encardio Rite provided advanced geotechnical monitoring solutions, including piezometers, in-place inclinometers, and earth pressure cells, to ensure the safety and stability of the dam. These monitoring systems play a crucial role in safeguarding irrigation infrastructure for the region.

Sri Komaram Bheem Project

Sri Komaram Bheem Project is located across the Peddawagu River, proposed in the Peddawagu stream near Ada (V), Asifabad (M), and Asifabad (Dist.). It is a medium irrigation project that irrigates an area of 45,500 acres (18421 ha) in 69 villages of four manuals: Asifabad, Wankidi, Kagaznagar, and Sirpur(T) of Asifabad district.

The project consists of an earthen dam 1012 m long with a maximum height of 18 m and a total reservoir capacity of 10.393 tmcft.

Encardio-rite was awarded the sub-contract for supply as well as installation of safety monitoring instrumentation for the project. The instrumentation included:
