Sepetiba Harbour Coal Stockpiles

The Sepetiba Harbour Coal Stockpiles project aimed to transform an existing mineral import facility into a dual import/export terminal, allowing iron ore export. In 2005 and 2006, Encardio Rite, in collaboration with its marketing associate Terratek Ltd. in Brazil, provided piezometers to monitor underground water pressure. This instrumentation was critical for maintaining stability during construction, ensuring the facility's structural integrity, and aiding in the safe conversion of the stockpile and unloading areas for new operational purposes.

Sepetiba Harbour Coal Stockpiles

The Sepetiba Harbour Coal Piles project consisted of converting the existing mineral import facility for coal, coke, alumina, and sulphur into a dual import/export facility also to allow the export of iron ore. The direction of one of the two conveyor systems was revered, and a new iron ore unloader was provided on the existing wharf.  Train unloading and new stockpile areas were required for the iron ore mineral.

Encardio-rite supplied Piezometers in 2005 and 2006 to monitor the underground water pressure. Our marketing associate, Terratek Ltd., supplied the instrumentation in Brazil.
