Pattissery Dam
Pattissery dam is constructed on the Pambar River, a tributary of the Amaravathi River, at Pattissery of Kanthalpur Panchayat in Idukki district, Kerala. The purpose of this project is to utilize the Pambar water for irrigation. It is part of the Pambar Basin Projects Pattissery in Kanthalloor, Panchayath, under the Chengalar Scheme.
The project comprises of an earthen dam 135 m long with a maximum height of 23 m. An 8.5 km long canal is also constructed for the irrigation of 240 hectares of land at Kanthallur. The storage capacity of a dam is about 2 TMC.
Encardio-rite was awarded the sub-contract for the supply as well as the installation of safety monitoring instrumentation for the project. The data from the monitoring instruments was available online on Encardio-rite’s web-based online monitoring software. The instrumentation included:

- Strain meter – rosette with no stress strain meter
- Temperature meters
- Automatic water level recorder
- Seepage monitoring systems
- Plumbline - direct
- Portable readout units
- Data acquisition system
