North-South Corridor Contract N102

North-South Corridor Contract N102, part of Singapore's major infrastructure project, is a 21.5 km underground highway connecting Marina Bay and Woodland. Encardio-Rite supplied approximately 220 piezometers through its regional marketing associate to ensure accurate risk assessment and monitoring for the project's most complex section. This section involves constructing a six-lane expressway tunnel just one meter above the NEL subway line, crisscrossed by existing roads and subway lines (DTL and NEL). The piezometers are performing satisfactorily, ensuring safe construction and operation of the expressway, a vital link between Singapore’s northern and southern regions.

North-South Corridor Contract N102

Instrumentation and monitoring for the 21.5 km North-South Corridor of the underground highway section was required for risk assessment. The corridor connects Marina Bay in the southern part and the northernmost Woodland area in Singapore. It is being built as an underground highway between two metropolitan subway lines (DTL and NEL). The project includes constructing two-way six lanes of cut & cover underground tunnel 1.42 km with four entry/exit slip roads. Section N102 is considered the most challenging section because the location for this section of the underground expressway is crisscrossed by roads on the ground and two subway lines (DTL and NEL) underground. Notably, the two-way, six-lane expressway will be constructed just one meter above the NEL Line.

Encardio-rite supplied around 220 piezometers for the project through a regional marketing associate.

All piezometers (100%) are operating satisfactorily until today.
