National Heart Centre Project

The National Heart Centre Singapore (NHCS) is a 12-story hospital designed to enhance patient care with open spaces and natural ventilation. During construction, Encardio Rite, through a regional marketing associate, provided essential ground monitoring and risk assessment solutions. The project used a range of sensors, including 15 piezometers and 46 arc weldable strain gauges, to ensure structural safety. Continuous monitoring and data collection helped maintain safe construction practices, supporting NHCS’s mission to create a healing environment for patients and staff.

National Heart Centre Project

National Heart Centre Singapore (NHCS) is a 12-storey hospital. The first six floors house the active zone of the hospital, with labs, facilities for surgery, radiology, and similar programs. The upper part of the building, floors 7-10, focuses on portions that are patient-free, such as facilities for staff training. A vital feature of the Heart Center lies in its abundance of open spaces, namely courtyards, and gardens, that are fused with natural light and are naturally ventilated to complement the healing process.

The project required ground monitoring as well as risk assessment during the construction works. Our marketing associate in the region provided the monitoring work. A number of our sensors were used, including 15 numbers of piezometers and 46 numbers of arc weldable strain gages. All sensors (100%) have operated satisfactorily.
