Nam Pha Gnai Hydropower Project

Nam Pha Gnai Hydropower Project (hereafter referred to as the “the project”) is located in Xaysomboun District, Vientiane Province, Lao PDR, developed by Nam Pha Gnai Hydropower Project Co., Ltd.

Nam Pha Gnai hydropower project is located in the Nam Ngum river basin at the convergence of the Nam Ngum, Nam Pha Noi, and Nam Pha Gnai rivers. The 19.2 MW run-of-river project comprises a 75 m high-110 m long concrete gravity dam, 1.2 km long headrace tunnel, 5.1 km long channel, forebay, 280 m long surface penstock to feed three Francis turbines housed in a surface powerhouse.

After completion of the project, the newly built plant will provide clean electric power to the regional grid consisting of the Thailand Power Grid and the Lao Power Grid. Power Station.
