Kaleswaram-Sundilla Barrage

The Kaleswaram-Sundilla Barrage, also known as Parvati Barrage, is situated on the Godavari River near Kasipeta Village in Telangana. As part of the Kaleshwaram Project, Sundilla Barrage serves as a critical irrigation infrastructure, designed to provide water to Telangana’s drought-prone upland regions. Spanning 1.45 km with 74 gates and 41 spillways, the barrage has a storage capacity of 8.83 TMC and a discharge capacity of 57000 cumecs. Encardio Rite supplied comprehensive safety monitoring instrumentation, including VW Piezometers, Earth Pressure Cells, Concrete Pressure Cells, and Triaxial Joint Meters, ensuring the structure’s stability and operational efficiency. The advanced instrumentation, coupled with VW Readout Units and Data Acquisition Systems, provides real-time monitoring data, supporting safe water management and agricultural productivity in Telangana’s upland regions.
