Kaleswaram-Medigadda Barrage

The Medigadda Barrage, also known as the Lakshmi Barrage is located on Medigadda Village, Mahadevpur Mandal, Jayashankar Bhupalpally district in Telangana State. The purpose of this project is to utilize Godavari water for drinking and irrigation. 

It is a concrete barrage, 1.6 km long with 85 spillways and having a total 16 tmcft reservoir capacity.

Encardio-rite was awarded the complete contract for supply as well as installation of safety monitoring instrumentation for the project. The instrumentation included:

• Piezometer
• Uplift pressure sensor
• Earth pressure Cell
• Concrete pressure cell
• Temperature meter
• VW  readout unit
• Prism target with break-off points & convergence bolts
